Preity Zinta born in Shimla belongs to Hindu Rajput family. Her father was an Indian army officer and died very soon in a car accident when Preity was only 13. Nilprabha, her mother was also injured severely in the accident but was saved. Preity called herself as a tomboy when she was a child. She is well disciplined and punctual. Zinta walked the ramp for Manish Malhotra’s display Fashion Week 2006. She modeled the show along with actress Kajol. She was also seen number of times at Cannes film festivals and filmfare awards which enhanced her popularity in media. Zinta was also chosen as the first brand ambassador for GoAir which is a new airline service owned by Jehangir Wadia from Wadia Group.
