Basics and Common Sense of Email Campaign.

Basics and Common Sense of Email Campaign.
by Little

Yes, it neither sounds very exciting nor empowering. But the basics are the very foundation! Missing this basic and you could well end up wasting your efforts for the next few months to come.

Like everyone else, you truly want your email campaign to be fruitful, and in the process you too don’t want to annoy your readers. Turning off your reader with your poor email etiquette and you can be sure that they’ll tune out your email message. Spoof…there goes your online business as well! Don’t ever let this disaster happen to you!

What kind of email message brings true sale leads? Basic......a message that earns basic respect will bring sales, and that’s our discussion here.

Common Sense 1 – Break up your message up into short paragraphs
Always remember to break up your message and lines so that they don’t end up with long characters. Wondering why to do this? Simply there are 2 basic reasons:
• Ask yourself this: - after looking at computer screen for quite some time, do you feel your eyes getting tire, getting fatigue? That would very well happen to others too! The shorter the span of characters across the screen will really makes reading much relaxing, and naturally it’ll be much more appealing to your reader.

• Another reason is this: - some email clients or handler is set to automatically enforcing character or line wrapping. If your message is too long, the content will be presented in "chopped off" style! This definitely will make it looks ugly.

Common Sense 2 - Be extra careful when using letter Caps
How often had you changed your TV channel just to skip listening to some sale bombardment? No one will likes sale bombardment...and no one likes a "sale bombardment" email message too. You are going to be turned off by your reader if you do such bombardment.

Email messages written in all caps are considered rule and yelling towards its reader. It’s alright to include some sentences and words in all caps, but don’t ever go overboard. If you need to, break them up into paragraph for the content.

Emails and message presented in all caps are perceived as rude and uneducated, and will damage the credibility of the sender. How would the reader going to buy from a source that they don’t se the credibility?

Common Sense 3 - Correct Your Grammar and Word’s spelling before Sending It
Rule of thumb, as a consumer yourself, would you be convinced by an email that tries to sell you something but had noticeable word’s spelling and grammar errors? You wouldn’t! And your perception towards that sender would be well negative too!

When a recipient reads your sales message that’s filled with stupid errors, what would they think? "Gosh, this fellow doesn’t even take the small effort to get his message written correctly. His product is most probably the same lousy quality as his emails."

If you are in business, keep in mind that your image and presentation is your business reputation. More important if you are doing online business where most, if not all your customers don’t get the chance to see you face to face. Your reputation is the main reason why people are buying from you or the next guy he come across. It’s of utmost critical that you consistently project a professional image of CREDIBILITY in the mind of your potential customers.

Remember it hard all the time, doing business online and sending emails that filled with lousy errors don’t just hurt your online business image...it simply will kill it. And that goes good bye with your business.

Increase Web Site Traffic With Articles

Increase Web Site Traffic With Articles
by Marcus R. Christopher

To increase web-site traffic is a time consuming JOB, unless you think smart and use an article directory or multiple article directories.

Only Two Methods Needed To Increase Web-Site Traffic

There are several different ways to increase web-site traffic, but only one is the best and this article will explain in full detail how to accomplish this. First and foremost, forget everything you've ever read on increasing web-site traffic. Only the best and smartest concepts will be learned from this article. Only relevant backlinks and relevant reciprocal links are needed. Why are these the only two concepts you should focus on to increase targeted web-site traffic. These two methods will kill four birds with one stone, search engine rankings, link popularity, pagerank(PR), and targeted web-site traffic. There is no reason for me to explain why these increase your targeted traffic, but only how to utilize them.

Relevant Backlinks Increase Web-Site Traffic

Backlinks are the heart of search engine rankings and can dramatically increase web-site traffic alone. Why? Backlinks carry more importance then any other form of links, because the search engine feels, that if there is a backlink or one-way link to your site from another without linking to them, that your site is more important. 50 Backlinks are more important than 500 reciprocal links. Search engines are aware that webmasters trade links, so to have multiple backlinks from highly important sites tells the search engine, this site is important regarding this particular niche, this is why your backlinks must be relevant. How do I acquire high pr backlinks with out paying hundreds of dollars. Articles! An Article Directory can be your savior in your backlink crisis. Almost all article directories will have at least a PR4 ranking. Why? Unique content and all the article pages providing a backlink to the article directory.

An Article Directory Can Increase Relevant Backlinks

You are going to exploit the article system by creating lots of article pages with a one-way or backlink to your site or several sites if you choose. Most article directories will allow you to insert three links in the resource box of an article submission form. By writing artices and submitting to a directory or directories, you will gain three backlinks for every article published. One article can expand. I had to show you the power of articles, so I published one 6 days prior to this one, "The Full Adsense Formula." Google search it within the quotations. Now I only submitted it to 150 article directories, and in 6 days I have twice as many backlinks from this published article. Why are there twice as many links as article directories I submitted to? An article directory is not just for publishing articles, but also for webmasters with a high demand for content. These webmasters can reprint or publish your article, with your permission of course, on their site as long as they keep the article intact, including the backlinks to your sites. Now, for a webmaster to want to reprint your article it must be relevant to their site. Relevant Backlinks! An article I wrote last year now has been published on 8,000 pages. A lot of relevant backlinks for thirty minutes of typing. This will increase your PR within weeks and you will see the increase in web-site traffic in days. This article exploit is used more for the search engines rankings and backlinks, not long term web-site traffic. The reason for this is because the NEW article itself will only generate traffic for a month or so.

Articles Increasse Search Engine Rankings

Now these articles in the directories will be indexed in the search engines on their own page, with your link at the end. So 5,000 pages with your article increases your chances of a search engine user locating it, reading it, and visiting your site afterwards. Why? They want more info or have come to the conclusion that you know what you are talking about, if it is a very informative article. While these pages move up in the SERP's(Search Engine Results Page) over time the page they are linked to will move up also. For Search Engine purposes, the backlink that follows the article shou;d not have the article on it. Why? Search engines like unique content and the visitor doesn't want to read the same article over. They want more relevant info that wasn't included in the article.

Use Articles To Gain Reciprocal Links

Write an article on reciprocal links and inform your readers that you will be exchanging links, leave your email address and the topics of your pages and you won't have to spend enourmous amounts of time looking for links to increase your web-site traffic. They'll email you. Once the pages are in the search engines. I have used these methods many times to give new domains at least a (PR5)PageRank of 5 in 30 days time. I have a new article directory myself, I will try to obtain a PR8 in no time.

Making better use of your resource box

Making better use of your resource box
by Magnus G.

What is a resource box ?

A resource box is what you usually find at the end of an article. They will contain the name of the author, a brief description of the author, a brief description of the sponsoring site and a link. If a reader likes what they read, they would have the tendency to find out where the article came from to read more. The resource bow will be their link to the source of the article and this will entice them to go to the site and do some more reading or research for the subject or topic they are interested in.

Through the recent years many people have learned the secrets of Search Engine Optimization. More and more sites have seen the effects articles have done for the traffic of their sites. Some have even created sites devoted entirely to providing articles that could be read by their website visitors and have links that could lead to many sites that are related to the topics and subjects of the articles.

For example, the sites may feature many articles about a whole lot of topics. As a website visitor reads the articles they have searched for, they can find at the end of the article a resource box that can be clicked on to link them to the site that has submitted the article. Of course the article would be in relation to the site. Lets say if the article is about rotating the tires, the resource box may lead to a link to a site that sells tires or car parts.

But like the article itself, the resource box must also be eye-catching to demand the attention and interest of the reader. While the resource bow encompasses only a small space, providing the right keywords and content for your resource box will provide more prodding for the reader to go to your site.

Now we know what resource boxes are, what are the benefits of having a good resource box? Mainly its driving traffic to your site. Many sites would allow articles to be placed in their sites because they can make use of the articles to fill their pages. They also get affiliation with other sites that can be beneficial for them as well. For the sponsoring site, when you get people to click on your resource box, you generate traffic that can be counted upon as potential customers.

So what would be a good content for your resource box? Basically it is keywords, learning about the proper keywords that people are mainly searching for. There are many tools you can find in the internet that can help you in determining what keywords to use.

Resource boxes can also make use of all the creativity it can get. You only get a small space for your resource box so you better make the most of it. Try to catch the attention of your reader with resource box content that can make them give a second look. Unlike TV ads, you don’t have visual aids to drive your point in. But you do have the power of imagination of a reader. With the right content, you can make them think and intrigued.

Another tip is to use keywords that should be related to your site. Do not mislead your potential website visitors. Build your credibility so that more people would get enticed to visit your site and browse what you have to offer. Make the people click your resource box by providing resource box content that makes a lasting impression. You only get one chance to wow them and hundreds of chances to repulse them.

Never underestimate the power of the resource box. It may be small in size but they will provide a significant aid in driving traffic to your site. A boring resource box will never get a job done. Be fun and creative but at the same time show that you have a great deal to offer, too much to ask for something that couldn’t fit a paragraph? Yes and no, there are many tips and guides that can help you in doing this, the first step is realizing how important a resource box could be in making people click your link and be directed to your site.

Free Viral Traffic From Article Marketing

Free Viral Traffic From Article Marketing
by Justin Brown

Many newcomers to the internet, and in particular owners of websites, often have the misconception that site traffic comes at a financial cost. Well think again! Why not use article marketing to drive traffic to your website and increase link popularity in the process?

One of the major benefits of article marketing is the ability for a particular article to spread throughout the internet onto several websites, often referred to as "viral marketing". The effectiveness of this is highly dependant upon the popularity of the article niche and the quality of information contained in that article. However, it is important not to underestimate the power of this possibility. It is highly likely that your article will be picked up from article directories by tens, hundreds, and possibly thousands of website owners eager for fresh, informative content for their sites and ezines.

It is impossible to predict which sites will pick your article up, but it can be very exciting to find that an article that you wrote has been published by a site with PR (Page Rank) 5, 6, 7 or maybe higher.

The consequence is a link back to your site from a number of sites running your article, and an increase in targeted website traffic, for free!

Furthermore, once your article has been written and submitted to article directories, depending on the quality of the article directory, you can benefit from the same article for years down the line.

Article writing provides you with an opportunity to display your knowledge to others. Should you provide valuable information that readers find interesting, then you can benefit from two essential ways. Firstly the reader can directly visit your site to view the service or product that you have to offer, and secondly, the reader may wish to publish the article on their website as they'll feel it may provide good information for their own website visitors. This ultimately benefits all parties:

- Your article, with resource box containing your website link, is located on many websites. You are rewarded with website traffic and link popularity.

- The reader (publisher) that finds your article informative has free content to place on their website for visitors to read.

- The visitors to websites using your article, locate an interesting and informative article, which can lead them to more information (your website).

The power of article marketing is obvious, and if you are a website owner, you should certainly be using it to drive free targeted traffic to your website.

The Importance of Meta-tags: Providing the Human Touch

The Importance of Meta-tags: Providing the Human Touch
by Matthew Coers

For the uninitiated, meta-tags are pieces of code within your website that contain information about each page. These tags are supposed to tell search engines and users what the page is about.

If you’re a little rusty on your Internet jargon, here’s a primer. There are essentially three types of meta-tags that concern most marketers:

* Title – This is the text that appears in the title-bar of your web browser
* Description – This is a quick summary of the information on the page
* Keywords – These are words that are important in the article

Up until about 4 years ago, there was a tremendous focus on meta-tags as a method of improving search engine rankings. Webmasters could stuff all sorts of words into the meta-tags to improve their search engine rankings for the words they wanted to rank well for.

It wasn’t long before the search engines caught on to this little trick, and as a result the efficacy of “keyword-stuffed” meta-tags dwindled over time. Posts on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) boards heralded the demise of the meta-tag with posters claiming that Google all but ignored the meta-tags. It seemed that there was no use for meta-tags anymore – at least from the perspective of the online marketer.

Meta-tag Re-emergence

But then a funny thing happened. The search market started to fracture. Yahoo and MSN both spun up their own search engines and dropped Google’s results from their engines. Both Yahoo and MSN’s new engines seemed to use content from the Title and Description meta-tags to display in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages).

These observations appear to be the case even today. By running a query for the term, “Online Advertising” on MSN, I got some interesting results (screenshots available at http://www.profitchoice.com/articles/support/meta_msn.asp)

Now, if you look at the screenshots in the link above, you’ll notice that the clickable link on the search engine matches the page’s title tag verbatim, and the site’s description in MSN starts off with the first sentence of the description tag. Yahoo operates in a very similar fashion. Many of the results on the SERPs of both search engines will use the content from the meta-tags heavily (as long as the pages have meta-tags at all).

Google is less predictable with regard to the use of meta-tags. Google often uses the title tag to determine the clickable link on it’s results pages, but only occasionally uses the description tag content in the page summary that it displays.

Remember the Human Beings

Ok, now that I’ve put you to sleep with technical details and observations it’s time to wake up, because there is a very important marketing point that I’m working towards here.

The point that I’m driving at is that although the search engines probably have devalued the SEO value of the meta-tag to a great extent, that doesn’t mean that it isn’t important.

When people search for keywords in your industry it isn’t enough to be #1 on the list of results. You still need to convince those humans to click on your link. The way to do that is to design the most effective page description that can possibly appear in the SERPs.

Steps to Take To Improve Your Meta-Tags

As a general rule, Yahoo uses the first 25-30 words of your Meta Description tag in the site description it displays on your SERPs; MSN uses the first 15 or so.

Write out a 30-word description of each page of your website that is broken up into two parts. The first 15 words need to get across what the page is about – this is all the MSN searchers will see. The second 15 words should support the first – this will be visible to Yahoo searchers.

Google searchers will sometimes see the first 7 - 15 words as well (although you can’t count on it). With meta-tags you have to just focus on the things you can control, and right now Google is an unknown quantity so it’s probably best not to worry about optimizing for Google.

Don’t Drop the Meta-Tags

Several years ago the search engines devalued the use of meta-tags in determining rankings. But because they use the meta-tags as page descriptions in their SERP pages, you must make special efforts to ensure that the content presented to searchers inspires them to click on your links rather than your competitors’.

If you don’t put meta-tags on your website’s pages, then Yahoo and MSN (with a combined market share of around 45%) will just guess at what to put in the description of your website. They will pull phrases out of context (much the way Google does) from your site and slap them in there. The result is not nearly as inviting as it could have been otherwise. That’s why it is always beneficial to learn to write effective meta-tags.
