Self Determination – Making The Most Out Of You

Self Determination – Making The Most Out Of You
by Dr. Randy Wysong

Breaking the mold of being a child is difficult. The mere addition of years does not make that happen. The dependency many adults choose, in fact, keeps them in a child-like mentality. If the doctor makes our health decisions, an accountant our financial ones, a minister our moral ones and a politician is left to decide our rights, how is that different from a child being told what to do by teachers and parents?

Substituting authority figures and shifting dependencies does not equal maturity.

Childhood is necessarily filled with lots of dos and don’ts, rights and wrongs, rewards and punishments. However, children who are well disciplined are not necessarily self-motivated. Tell children not to tattle and perhaps they won’t – for a while. Teach them ethical concepts of confidentiality and loyalty by touching their inner sense of conscience, and tattling is more likely to be removed from the personality. Discipline a child who followed the neighborhood ringleader and threw apples at passing cars, and perhaps, just maybe, he won’t throw apples again. By giving him self-confidence he will more likely have the courage to turn from peer pressure. Tell a child not to eat so many French fries and perhaps she won’t – until the next chance when you’re not around. Teach her the logic behind the value of natural foods and the damaging effects of food processing and you have given her a life-long road map to better health.

Growing up is about thinking – reasons, causes, consequences, exercising conscience and the long-range view. Unfortunately, as we distance ourselves from the natural world, in our comfortable homes, air conditioned automobiles, and cushy jobs, we think less and less as we become more and more dependent. We live in a time when virtually every need can be met with barely getting out of a chair. No hunting and gathering today. Nope, refrigerators are full, and if they aren’t we can drive to a grocery. If we’ve incapacitated ourselves enough we can get the nearest handicapped space and use a battery cart so we don’t even have to walk to do that. Back home we have every imaginable modern appliance making life “easier.” The television set is there handy for more dumbing down and to give us a rest from that grueling trip to the store and fast food stop on the way home.

Our modern world of convenience is a health trap, both mentally and physically. But we clamor for more convenience, more leisure, less responsibility, more entertainment and less work. We need the opposite, more work and activity for our physical health and more control over our lives for our mental health. We’re like sheep begging to be led to the slaughter. The less we take care of ourselves, the more we become dependent on others, the more we put ourselves at their mercy. Will our best interests be served by others or ourselves? Does history teach us that when we surrender to others and trust that they will look after us that that turns out to be the case? The rise and fall of nations throughout time scream a resounding no! Will we learn from history or repeat it?

Although it is difficult in modern, interdependent, complex society, think of yourself as a sovereign. Claim your inalienable rights or you have none. Ultimately you are the best steward of your own welfare. By regaining control you move from childhood and make life more interesting, exhilarating and healthy.

Here are some ideas of what I mean:

1. Need a repair or home improvement? Try it yourself. Buy “do-it-yourself” books and ask hardware and lumberyard clerks how to do it.

2. Sew and mend your own clothes.

3. Plant a garden.

4. Cut each other’s hair.

5. Clean your own teeth.

6. Home school your children.

7. Represent yourself in court.

8. Write letters to right social wrongs. Express yourself after you are fully informed.

9. Help solve the environmental crises – plant trees, recycle, reduce, reuse and get active in protecting common areas and resources.

10. Be as healthy, strong, and as smart as you can be. You learn how to do it; don't try to hire somebody else to.

11. Cook (actually, learn more about how to uncook) your own meals.

12. Prepare your pet’s food.

13. Study the Constitution (when was the last time you read the contract between your government and you?) and assert your rights.

14. Be your own doctor. Study and explore ways to heal yourself and develop your full health potential.

15. Learn to play an instrument. Try it on your own without lessons. Always look for opportunities to say, “I did it all by myself.”

16. Challenge “experts.” If they imply you’re too dumb to understand – fire them.

17. Develop your own business – full or part-time. Make it something you enjoy as much as a hobby. It doesn’t have to be a big moneymaker. It simply has to be yours.

18. Or, make your job your own business by doing more than expected. Be creative and always try to improve. Be a leader at work, not a follower.

19. Bike, walk or roller blade to work. Free yourself from the automobile as much as possible. The sunshine, fresh air and exercise pay some health bonuses as well.

20. Write a book or an article. Yes, you. Write about anything of interest, or about which you are capable of researching. How about an autobiography? You're the best expert on that. If you can get it published, fine. If not, do it yourself.

21. Learn a new sport – but don’t take lessons. Watch, read and buy videos. Surprise yourself and others with what you can do on your own.

22. Stop buying. Necessities and some treats once in a while are fine. But 50 pairs of high heels or 40 neckties? Say no to the marketers. Make a stand with your dollars. Support companies of conscience. Use your money in some way to improve our world. You be the benefactor. You take control. Serve others; don’t demand that they serve you.

23. Take the attitude that if another flesh and blood person can do it, so can you. It might take you longer and you might not do it as well, but so what?

Get the idea?

Granted, you can’t become totally self-sufficient, but every step you make in that direction – the more you can thumb your nose at “experts” and government dependence – the more life you will have, the longer you will live it and the healthier you will be. A population busy taking care of itself will value and protect the freedom to do so. A population ignorant, dependent and with their hands out to government invites despotism.

Don’t let modern life smother you with its beguiling lure of ease and comfort. Life is hard work if you do it right. The goal of life is not some phantasmagoric end we might imagine (forever elusive, incidentally), but the journey well traveled with you at the helm.

Dreams Are They Good Or Bad?

Dreams Are They Good Or Bad?
by Super Star

Dreams that you have at night are bad if they are “Nightmares”, but the dreams you have that make you feel great and inspired – those are “Goodmares”. So have you been have “Nightmares” or “Goodmares”? If you are feeling oppressed or depressed you are probably have the first one, but if you have good things going on you are probably have the second.

Some say that the first one could be a premonition of things to come or an evilness in the dreamer. But could it just be an inner talk going on within you that is allowing your mind to create these? I am not a psychologist, have never studied Sigmund Freud and really don’t delve in that area. But I do feel that if you are relaxed and happy with your life, you are more likely to have “Goodmares”.

I am not really here to talk about your “..mares” I am really here to talk to you about your Dreams, your Aspirations, your Desires and your Inspirations. One definition the dictionary has for Dream is: “A condition or achievement that is longer for; an aspiration.” That is what is important to you and to your future.

Only Children Or Younger People Dream

Remember when you used to Dream and let your imagination run wild, when you ran freely through a meadow or traveled to new places or conquered domains – became the King or Queen and ruled over the land. Maybe you dreamed of driving the new car you just saw on the showroom with Mom and Dad or living in the house you saw while driving somewhere with your parents. Those were the good days when you let your imagination run freely and life was grand. Sadly, the times that we Dreamed were mainly in our earlier years and as we grew up, the Dreaming seemed to become less relevant. In Junior High and High School you had different dreams to an extent, when you went to College or started you job you had dreams to some extent.

But then reality sets in and you became involved with your career or family or whatever came along and the dreams faded and faded and disappeared. Then your Dreams were replaced with what many call “reality” and it was time to “grow up and forget about the childish things” or maybe it was “what do you want to be when you grow up” question? Some of us have not completely “grown up” yet, we still have times when we dream or “fantasize” about better places and things. But we don’t put action to it because we don’t know how or we are afraid of failure or success or being laughed at by our “friends”. Would true friends laugh at you or would they encourage you? Hummm, that could be food for thought.

Could there POWER in a dream?

The power of a dream is something you need to realize and grab onto. It is the dreamers such as Edison, Carver, Bell, Stanley, Ford, Trump, Gates, and many more who have had Dreams that propelled them to do what became great things. Their Dreams were the driving force that allowed them to keep “their nose to the grindstone” and accomplish great things.

There is such a power there that if harnessed, grabbed onto and acted up will allow you to move forward and off of the “treadmill” that you are on today. Dreams give you hope, they give you power and enthusiasm, a tunnel vision of focus to assist you to motivate you to drive you on an adventure of growth and realization about yourself that you might have buried deep and hidden away. They allow you to use your natural talents and learned talents to the max, if you will allow them to. They are the beginning of the whole process of becoming you were meant to be to accomplish what you were meant to accomplish.
“Those Without Dreams Work For Those With Dreams.” Wealth Builders
We all have a destiny, we all have things that we can and should accomplish. To many times we let “life” get in the way and hold us back or hinder us to the point that we give up and believe what the rest of the world says. Get a job, work hard, retire and enjoy your “Golden Years” that is what we did (are doing). I’ve heard it explained very well more than once, “Work 40 hours a week for 40 years and retire with 40% of what you were used to living on!” It is called the 40/40/40 plan and that is the bill of goods we have been sold. Forget those dreams, forget those aspirations and all that childish junk – just do what the rest of us are doing.

It is time to break the bondage of fear of failure or fear of success, it is time to stop the negative inner talk and sit down, relax and let yourself dream again. Dream about your house, your car, your boat, your new lifestyle, your garden, your swimming pool, your whatever it is that you have felt you always desired and deserved. Write those dreams down each and everyone of them. Every time a dream comes alive in your mind – write it down and keep track of all of them. Because they are the first step to moving on with your life.

100% Attitude

100% Attitude
by Kaval Patel

Your attitude will determine a lot, we’ve all heard the glass half full or glass half empty way off looking at things, both are the same thing, but are vastly different as well. You have the ability to transform your life and reach new heights of success and fulfilment. Whether at this moment in time your attitude is positive, negative or somewhere in the middle you can take control of your life and set yourself free! Everyone has potential, the unfortunate thing is that most people go through life and never realise or take advantage of this!

Firstly you must visualize what you want - you the dreams everyone has – unfortunately most people leave them as just that, dreams. The second thing that you must do is see yourself in your dream environment, and see yourself getting there. I can, I will and when I are the things you must say rather than the negative version I can’t, I won’t and if I! Don’t worry if you fall into a more negative category – the good thing about attitude is that you can learn and train yourself to have a positive one given a bit of time and practice.

You’ve told yourself that it is going to happen and now must talk about it by doing this you are making yourself accountable and putting yourself under a little pressure to make it happen! If you dream is to be on Millionaire Street and you are currently in debt – you must realise that this dream is not going to happen overnight in may take a few years – you don’t go around saying you are going to be a millionaire by next Thursday afternoon in three weeks time! Don’t set unrealistic targets otherwise you may put yourself under undue stress and pressure to achieve, which can be detrimental to your cause.

Attitude isn’t everything – it is simply the first thing! Remember it’s going to be action that actually gets you there and the attitude will determine what pace that will be. You are the architect, the builder and the benefactor of all your life’s endeavours. So when something doesn’t go your way the first place to look is inwards. You must ask yourself what you could have done differently to have gotten a more favourable result, after this inward analysis is done then you look at some of the external issues that may have been amiss too.

Everyone has their fears; I don’t mean things like scared of the dark or spiders etc. I am talking about fears to do with success, for example, it might be something that you haven’t learnt to do yet, and you fear that you may fail. Remember that if you don’t try you fail anyway, and if you do fail sometimes then success is that much sweeter because you actually had to get over obstacles to get to the end result.

In summary we’ll use something interesting to illustrate a point. There are 26 letters in the alphabet, A = 1 and Z = 26 working on that basis we assign a number to each letter of the word attitude and add them up:
A(1) + T(20) + T(20) + I(9) + T(20) + U(21) + D(4) + E(5) = 100 - 100% Attitude!
Having a positive or optimistic attitude helps you to achieve more for yourself than a negative or pessimistic one. Visualise what you want, take action to make it happen, overcome any fears and keep plugging away, remember that tree that you see in your local park didn’t get that big overnight. You can learn to train your mind, and over time you will learn how to develop and maintain a positive attitude.

7 Easy Ways to Teach Your Children to be Grateful for What They Have

7 Easy Ways to Teach Your Children to be Grateful for What They Have
by articles411.com webmaster

Here are some easy ways to incorporate instilling the virtue of gratitude in your children. As you go through your day, show them, the wonderful events going on behind the scenes that we all most usually take for granted.

1. Set the Right Example.

It is better if you teach them by using the appropriate words at the right times yourself. How many parents do you see saying "Thank You" to there two or three year old children. It is through example that kids learn best, and teaching gratitude is no different than anything else in that respect. "Children Learn What They Live!"

2. Teach It Through Role Playing.

You can play games with your children that implement the virtue of gratitude. Play the second chair and practice showing them how it feels to be on the receiving end of an unexpected, "Thank You!"

3. Teach by Showing Them How to Be of Service to Others.

Even simple things such as holding a door for an elderly person, are small ways we can show them how others appreciate us and our actions. It is also a way to put a smile and a lift into a strangers day, which always creates a good feeling within the person who is doing the kind act as well.
You would be surprised how many times a simple gesture like this can occur in your normal day activities, in places like grocery stores, doctors offices, or shopping trips.

4. Make a List.

An easy way to get them to make lists of what they are thankful for is to use "The Daily Gratitude Journal Software" You will find a link to this software in the resource box at the end of this article. There are two versions, one written in "kid language and displaying an output of "kid fonts" and an adult version as well.

5. Teach Gratitude While Going Without Things.

Recently my single family of three kids and myself had to deal with a full 24 hours of no power. This outage caused by a wind storm, was an ideal opportunity for me to teach them what we had to be thankful for that we normally took for granted. Simple things like, lights, heat, and being able to watch Tv, were just a few that quickly came to mind.

6. Show them How to Be Thankful for the Little Things in Life.

As in the previous example, although, most of us would not consider heat and light little things, they are things that are always there for our kids, so they are simple things that they usually don't pay much attention too.

Other simple examples could include; having food to eat all the time, friends to play with, and having plenty of toys and school supplies. Showing them examples of third world country children who go without these things is a way of teaching them appreciation for what they have, too.

7. Teach them to see the good in someone they don't like.

You can even use a negative experience to teach them the value of being grateful. When I think of this, immediately what comes to my mind is the Walt Disney movie, "PollyAnna" where she played the "Glad" game and found many things to be grateful for in every situation she encountered. Renting this video, watching and discussing it with them would be a great, gratitude building quality time family activity.

As you go through your day, show them, the wonderful events going on behind the scenes that we all most usually take for granted. Things like the police, who protect us, the firemen who are there for those who need them, and the clerk at the grocery store doing her job to help us get our food. Simple thank you comments to all of these daily activities is the easiest way to role model appreciation that they will learn and emulate.

Work/Life Balance: Making Every Day Sacred

Work/Life Balance: Making Every Day Sacred
by Wendy Betterini

So many of us rush blindly through our days, fall into bed exhausted, and wake up the next morning to do it all over again. For many of us, our lives are composed of millions of meaningless moments, all strung together - perhaps with a sprinkling of sacred moments mixed in. I'm sure you can think of a few sacred moments in your own life. Maybe your marriage, the birth of your child(ren), or perhaps a heartfelt moment of connection with a good friend. These are the moments when we are consumed with joy and awe. At these moments, we are fully present in the moment. We aren't worrying about tomorrow, or trying to rush through the experience to get to the next. We are in the now, and the now is amazing.

However, why do we wait for major events to honor these sacred moments? Why can't every day be sacred? Every moment? Each moment is sacred - if we decide to make it that way. I stated above that our lives are filled with meaningless moments, but those moments are meaningless only because we don't honor them. We are hurrying along, focused on other things, not stopping to notice them at all. They come and go without so much as an acknowledgement from us.

Honoring the sacred means simply choosing to make each moment count. It is a tiny shift in perception that assigns meaning and importance to each moment. It means stopping to notice the beauty and love around us, and within us. It means being fully present in each moment, because only the present moment truly exists. So many of us worry about the future, hold regrets about the past, and completely ignore the present. When we give the now our full attention, even mundane tasks can take on an aura of holiness. Then our lives become millions of meaningful moments. Nothing has changed except our perception, but it makes all the difference.

So how do we change our perception to one of sacredness? What does it mean to stay in the present moment? Let's use an example: washing dishes. When most of us wash dishes, we hurry through it, often thinking about the million other things we need to get done that day (or the next day). Our minds are scattered all over the place, focusing on everything but what we are doing. Who can blame us? Washing dishes is not the most exciting experience. However, if we choose to make it a sacred experience, we will want to focus on it. We want to take our time and really pay attention to how the water feels on our hands, how the soap cleanses away the grease and grime, and the sense of satisfaction we get as each dish moves from the dirty pile to the strainer, now clean and shiny.

Maybe that still doesn't sound very thrilling. Let's look at what else is happening. As we give our full attention to washing the dishes, we are not only "doing," we are BEING. Ah, that is the key. It doesn't matter what we're doing or not doing in each moment of our lives, it matters only that we become aware of our own state of Being. In those moments, we are fully alive and conscious. We are connected to everything, and we are One with everything. We ARE.

Have you ever heard the term, "walking meditation?" This can be great practice to help you honor the sacred in your own life. Many of us walk for health or recreation, but we can also walk for spiritual awareness. A walking meditation is a slow, focused walk where you give your full attention to each step you take, the feel of your muscles working, your breathing, and even your surroundings. Especially if you walk someplace in nature, a place with lots of trees and wildlife. The trick is to not let your mind wander, but stay focused on the now. It can take practice, but once you accomplish it, your life will never be the same.

Imagine living a full, meaningful life. Imagine miracles happening all around you. Imagine being filled with awe and gratitude each day, and laying down to sleep each night feeling peaceful and relaxed. You can. If you choose it.

Making Choices: Taking Responsibility For Our Lives

Making Choices: Taking Responsibility For Our Lives
by Gabriella Kortsch, Ph.D.

Think about this: everything you feel, think, and do is totally your own responsibility. All your reactions to others and to what they say or do to you are also your own responsibility. And all your reactions to neighborhood, community, and global events are also your own responsibility. That means there is no one whom you can blame for how you feel about negative things…everything becomes your own choice. Are you having a hard time swallowing that?

Responsible for War?

“Of course I am,” you say. “How can I be responsible for a war in Iraq, a hurricane hitting New Orleans, or a spate of robberies in my neighbourhood? How can I be responsible for a person who mugs me, insults me or hurts my feelings?”

OK. Fair enough. You are certainly not responsible for any of those things … but you are responsible for how you react to them. And that is where choice comes into the picture because at each and every turn of the way you have a choice. Only you decide exactly how you will respond to all of these events.

No Choice?

“No!” you cry. “I have no choice but to be afraid if I have been mugged, or horrified if I see a war unfolding, or hurt, if someone upsets my feelings. What else could I do? How else could I react?”

Indeed. How else? Here’s how else. If you have been mugged, you could choose to take self-defense classes, in order to better protect yourself in future and in order to feel less afraid. You could join a neighbourhood watch group to better protect the community. In the case of war, you could work towards change in government in order to ensure that events of this nature have less and less possibility of repeating, and you could work on your own “war-like” reactions to other human beings in your daily life, in the knowledge that change is created one individual at a time. In the instance of having your feelings hurt, you could decide to ask yourself why you were in that position in the first place; why that person is in your life, and decide that the best reaction is to look at your own role in the situation, rather than at how much you are hurt. Not in order to blame yourself, but to ensure that situations of this nature have less and less chance of developing in your life, or that if they do, they will no longer have the power to hurt you. And you might choose not to allow such a person into your life in the first place…

Different Possible Realities?

A lifetime is composed of choices. Each choice leads to a probable different possibility or reality. Not choosing is also a choice. The choices an individual makes literally set the scene for much of the joy and misery that subsequently take place in that life.

Are Some Choices Mistakes?

Does this mean some choices are a mistake and others are right? That some choices lead you to a better place than others? At first glance, the answer to that may appear to be affirmative. Evidently if you choose to complete your university degree in your early twenties and work at your chosen profession, you may appear to have achieved better results than the person that dropped out and never had a profession. So person number one reaches 40 and may now be firmly and unbendingly entrenched in a fixed mindset of his or her profession, continuing there until retirement. Creativity and vibrancy may appear to have fled from that life, whereas person number two experienced life – perhaps fraught with painful difficulty - until the age of 40, deciding only then to go back to finish a degree in order to use all that life experience to apply to his or her profession in a life-enhancing way.

Which one of these two made the wrong choice? Or did both do the right thing? Who can judge? Perhaps the way you ultimately feel about yourself is the benchmark. Evidently if you do not feel good about yourself, it is once again your choice to change that.

Choice and Freedom

Choice – and the more we are willing to embrace our right to choose and see alternatives at every turn of the road – brings us closer and closer to the richness of ourselves, to the fullness of responsibility we have for ourselves, and hence brings us closer and closer to a manner of inner freedom that those who choose not to choose will never taste.

ThoughtWare - Exploring Your Creative Links

ThoughtWare - Exploring Your Creative Links
by Elizabeth Bohorquez, RN, C.Ht

Your thoughts, emotions & body sensations are major keys to opening your mind & body. They are always present & available to you, opening all doors to high level health & performance....Elizabeth Bohorquez, RN, C.Ht

Lifestyle changes needed for high level health & are like taking a journey. First comes the decision, the commitment to the journey, followed by the planning. Next comes the unfolding of experiences. We enjoy some parts, detest others, sit in amazement as the unexpected takes on a life of it's own.

As we look with soft eyes, it is clear that each experience carries with it, the gift of knowledge. We tend to be asleep more than awake. If we practice waking up more frequently, the number of experiences will mount. Since each experience carries the gift of knowledge, our goal is to stay awake as much as possible, working to unraveling our past experiences along with the new. Of course, looking for the gifts, for they are there in the vault of the subconscious mind.

In an earlier article in the thoughtWARE series, you set up gardens on your goal-den path. You met up with your Master Gardener, your Higher Self, learned something about weeds, your early belief systems, along with ways to change past self-image & esteem programming. Now you are going to locate old subconscious mind files, filled with all kinds of gifts to help you manage your life balance, a most necessary step in attaining high level health & performance. You are also going to design future mind programs to plant in your metaphorical gardens.

Interactive Awareness & Self-Hypnosis can be utilized in hundreds of creative ways. The thoughtWARE articles have given you the opportunity to work with some of these. Now you will experience some of the more creative ones. Keep in mind that each & every moment holds opportunities for practice, including re-programming your subconscious mind. As you begin to truly wake up to this extraordinary power that you have in place, you can become overwhelmed. Therefore it's a good idea to set some goals for building skill levels, for programming awareness, also for etching new subconscious mind programs.

KNOWLEDGE HOOK

You already know the power of awareness & how key it is to change. There are all levels of awareness, each carrying gifts. Some are small & some are big. Awareness requests are set-up subconsciously. We literally request the mind to make us aware of something we know will benefit us. For example, you might request the subconscious librarian to make you aware of low-level emotions, thoughts or behaviors that connect to a particular addiction, habit or disorderly eating.

Your subconscious mind will consciously "key" you into these, where you will be able to diminish them right in the moment, then move to re-program your inner files related to these behaviors. You are learning to stop something before it gets out of control for you. Pre-behaviors or prodromals are very important in changing habits, behaviors, as well as automatic pilot programs.

If you have any particular triggers, you might want to request changing your inner files in reference to these. For instance, if your reactions to certain people's behaviors tend to make you tense, you might want to be more aware of these, then work with diminishing &/or re-programming. One does not need to be in a deep trance state to do this work. You can do all of it "right in the moment" if you like.

Knowledge Hook - Induction

Induction is nothing more than slowing the brain waves in increments by using a particular deepening system, such as counting backwards, or choosing images that do the same. There are many levels of trance or deep relaxation, each having their own ease of execution & benefits. In short, induction is the route you take to get out of your own way, side-stepping all emotions & judgment, stepping into a place where suggestions are readily accepted by the subconscious mind.

If you work with a hypnotist, hypnotherapist, or our mp3 or CD programs you may be taken even deeper into trance where you will be able to access the needed information. In the independent practice of self-hypnosis you are determining the level where you can effect your own work. If you work with audio it is a bit easier to go deeper down, because even if you fall asleep, your subconscious mind will pick up the suggestions from the recorded program.

You might like to review the thoughtWARE article on mental biofeedback & practice inducing self-hypnosis with body communication skills. This is particularly effective as a stress-releaser, preparing the mind for the acceptance of suggestion. Whatever the route you choose, do know you are on your way to the tools below.

Knowledge Hook

After inducing a self-hypnotic state, you are ready to begin planting subconscious mind programs, also called suggestions. The subconscious mind enjoys organization & so it works to your benefit, assisting you in building special containment metaphors for planting inner programs, as well as editing past & future ones. These containments are useful as well for managing emotional states, locating hidden resources & building resilience. All containments are "user-friendly". As you welcome them into your consciousness, don't be surprised if you find them appearing automatically to help manage your life needs.

How To Attract Everything You Desire Effortlessly!

How To Attract Everything You Desire Effortlessly!
by Nancy Powers

Be Simply Irresistible . . .

How To Attract Everything You Desire Effortlessly!

1. Create an environment that naturally pulls you forward so things like commitment and discipline are optional. Being pulled forward is attractive, pushing forward is not.

2. Over respond to every event. By over responding instead of overacting, you evolve which is very attractive.

3. Build reserves in every area of your life. Having enough is not nearly enough for you to be Irresistible Attractive. Stop running your life on adrenaline.

4. Add value just for the joy of it. When you add value just because you enjoy it, people are naturally attracted to you.

5. Market your talents shamelessly. If you are embarrassed about what you do , you won’t be very attractive.

6. Become irresistible attractive to yourself. How can you attract others if you don’t feel irresistible attractive to yourself?

7. Get a fulfilling life, not just an impressive lifestyle. A great lifestyle is attractive, lifestyles can be seductive.

8. Deliver twice what you promise. When you consistently deliver more than was expected, new customers are drawn to you.

9. Unhook yourself from the future. Attraction works in the present, not in the future.

10. Eliminate delay. Time is expensive and delays are very unattractive.

11. Get your personal needs met, once and for all. If you have unmet needs, you will attract others in the same position. Needs are not optional. Create a Sass!

12. Tolerate nothing. When you put up with something, it costs you. Costs are expensive and very unattractive.

13. Show others how to please you. Don’t make them guess.

14. Endorse your worst weakness and shadow. When you accept and honor the worst part of yourself you are free and more accepting of others.

15. Sensitize yourself. The more you feel, the more you notice and respond to the many subtle opportunities in the present.

16. Perfect your environment. Create an environment that brings out your brilliance versus one that drains you.

17. See how perfect the present really is especially when it is clearly not.

18. Orient exclusively around your values. When you spend your days doing what fulfills you, you are a magnet for attraction.

19. Simplify everything. Abandon the non essentials and leave room for you to attract.

20. Master your craft. Being the best at what you do is the easiest way to become successful.

21. Recognize and tell the truth. The truth is the most attractive thing of all, and it requires skill and awareness.

22. Be more human. When you are genuine, you are attractive.

Are You A Coaching Candidate?

1. Do you spend your day putting out fires?

2. Do you have any concerns about your business running at maximum profitability?

3. Do you run your business on the edge?

4. Do the same problems continually resurface?

5. Do you have difficulty finding someone you trust who can give you an objective viewpoint and bounce ideas off of?

6. Is your business running you?

7. Do you find that you are unable to make the most of all the opportunities in your life?

8. Do you experience roller coaster highs and lows in your business?

9. Do you have a lone ranger lifestyle?

10. Do you allow your goals and purpose to get sidetracked?

11. Do you lack having a clear, measurable action plan to fulfill your goals?

12. Do you lack structure?

13. Do you lack inner fulfillment?

14. Do you spend most of your day working "in" your business instead of "on" it?

15. Are you a workaholic?

16. Are you experiencing a lack of balance in your life and business?

17. Are you committed to growing yourself and your company?

18. Are you coachable? (Are you willing to hear and act on another's person's viewpoint?)

19. Do you lack a clear financial plan for your future?

20. Are you willing to be truthful and restore your integrity?

* If you answered yes to more than three of these questions you can benefit from a coach.

Questions A Coach May Ask You:

* What five opportunities are you leaving on the table?
* How might you sabotage our professional relationship?
* How have you been motivated in the past to reach difficult goals or make difficult decisions? How can we best utilize that motivation now?
* How would you do this differently if you were willing to let it be easy?
* What would happen if you showed up ten times more bolder this week in every aspect of your life?
* What are the 10 things you are tolerating or putting up with that are preventing you from performing at your best?

Finding Happiness in Your Treasure Chest

Finding Happiness in Your Treasure Chest
by Gary Mosher

If you haven’t been able to find a lot of happiness in your life, maybe you’re looking in the wrong place. Our level of happiness is based on our thoughts and our thoughts are a reflection of what’s in our minds. We can begin the quest for happiness by separating our memories into three separate chests.

‘The Treasure Chest’ of the mind is where we put our most cherished memories. We open this chest when looking for happiness, comfort and contentment.

‘The Hope Chest’ of our mind is for our goals and dreams of tomorrow. As each is fulfilled it is then moved to our Treasure Chest.

‘The Dumpster Chest’ of the mind is for letting go of the hurts and trash of yesterday. Once in this chest they are dumped, to be forever let go. Once these memories are put in the Dumpster Chest you should never go digging them out.

Our thoughts are a reflection on who we are. Happy people have happy thoughts. That doesn’t mean that the happy person never has an unhappy thought, it means the happy person knows how to move these unhappy thoughts into the Dumpster Chest and then move on.

If someone speaks to you and is not pleasant or someone acts and is not nice to you, it is not a reflection of you but a reflection of them. Do you think they are happy? What is in their Treasure Chest or Hope Chest that should have been put in their Dumpster Chest? How sad for them, but don’t let it affect you.

If you want to be happy, take the time to sit and think about your thoughts. Put the good ones in your Treasure Chest or Hope Chest and the bad ones in your Dumpster Chest. Focus only on your Treasure Chest and Hope Chest for they are now full of the jewels of hope and joy.

Happy people spend their effort adding to their Treasure and Hope chests while unhappy people spend their time sorting through the dumpster. If you are serious about finding happiness, it’s time to leave the trash behind and become a treasure hunter.

mindSCRABBLE - Manifesting Prosperity

mindSCRABBLE - Manifesting Prosperity
by Elizabeth Bohorquez, RN, C.Ht

In adversity assume the countenance of prosperity, and in prosperity moderate the temper and desires. Livy

I've never met anyone who didn't want to prosper & while they might not verbalize it as such, it will be there if one knows how & where to look. However, it's not uncommon to think small & to negate receiving, especially if one has a low self-worth & self-image. If one grew up in a home where there was a combination of abusive, addiction & lack, then chances are that individual will have less thoughts of prosperity. Those are homes where the child merely looks to survive.

If you were to visit such experiences, you might sense a prosperous feeling when the abuse stops for a period of time. These are recorded as pure joy & reason for celebration. Another example is when the child or even an adult, in such a family of origin is given a very small token or gift resulting in an out-pouring of gratitude. Sometimes the gift may be intangible, such as a smile or kind joke ..... a semblance of normality.

Most of us have no problem giving, but find it difficult to receive. Again, this is attached to low self-worth. It can also be connected to co-dependent living. In the practice of interactive self-hypnosis, we can change these patterns, even if they are very deeply mind-etched from childhood. It's important to remember that old & deeply etched patterns continue to play out no matter how old or even mature the individual may appear.

There is, indeed, a secret inner life within all of us. We may not present this Self to the outside world, but it is there & it is always active. We all live behind masks, but in our privacy we come to know what truly is real for us. That is why it is so important to stay awake, aware, ready to forgive the Self, have compassion for the Self & be ready, willing & able to work with specialized mind & body tools for inner change.

As writers, getting to see beyond the mask makes us better at our craft. It is certainly more difficult, if not impossible, to get truly inside a character, if indeed we haven't done our own awareness work. For me, that is why writing is so therapeutic. Of course, when I work directly with patients, it is absolutely necessary for me to open my own subconscious mind, if I am to help any of my patients open theirs.

Some readers of this blog have asked me for specific examples of how to do this type of self-introspection. I am certainly happy to do so, as space allows. The two most important tools are something I call interactive heightened awareness & interactive self-hypnosis . We can also deem this active imagery or imaginology. Let's go ahead & apply these two keys to the subject of prosperity.

In the practice of interactive self-hypnosis, it is important to relax the mind & the body. This is very different from sitting in front of the TV or playing solitare on your computer. We want to purposefully slow the brain waves to the alpha level. If you have practiced meditation or yoga, you may have experienced this level of brain wave activity. Once you have trained your mind & body, you can actually change brain wave speed in 1/200th of a second. This is often practiced by athletes or others in competitive play or performance. Obviously, if one is having performance anxiety, it's usually not the moment to go into a deep meditative or self-hypnotic trance.

Once the brain waves are slowed, then the door to the subconscious mind is open & available. Since we are working with prosperity, we will want to design some active imagery for this purpose. I like to develop my mind stage-sets around powerful affirmations. They form the frame-work for the stage-sets. Here is a clip from a CD program I designed to enhance prosperity. Keep in mind that the participant is deeply relaxed & already into the subconscious mind library. As the individual participates, the new images are being etched or installed into the subconscious mind.

.....in the clearing we will find the right path leading to the Crystal Cathedral....as we go up the few steps leading to the Cathedral, focus on the rainbows embedded in the crystal blocks....these are rainbows of prosperity....choose one of the blocks & press the palm of your hand against it....real hard now like you are taking a hand print....now find the little pot of gold...remove it gently & notice you can take the coins out, one by one....they are beautifully engraved. I'm giving you a magnifying glass so you can read the inscriptions & as you do, these will enter your own mind library for they are now yours...

I am now seeing new ways of living & new methods of working....I am not confined to the ways & methods of the past...prosperity touches all parts of my life & in ways never experienced before. Titly your eys up just about 20 degrees & locate the screning cloud over there....the cloud opens & you can see yourself in this beautiful new production.....observe your new ways or living.....& now, locate the cloud ladder & climb up....enter the stage & engage yourself in the cloud activity.

We can have anything we can mentally accept, but first we must be able to mentally accept it. Working with interactive self-hypnosis not only gives us this opportunity, but it also allows the subconscious mind to connect to any & all old mind etching that may not have been supporting prosperity & re-program those. Remember that the subconscious mind will take the most recent mind program & super-impose that over any old programs.

The air around me twinkles with gold dust....confidence dust....properity dust. It feels so good to be touched in this way.

Intentional Focus: Your Happiness, Your Success, and the Law of Attraction

Intentional Focus: Your Happiness, Your Success,
and the Law of Attraction

by Gabriella Kortsch, Ph.D.

What have you been focusing on lately? On how well life is going for you? Or on how much business you’ve been doing compared to last year, or how well your superiors have been rating you? Or on how much your partner loves you and how much you revel in the relationship you’re having? On the excellent state of your bank account? On your ever-present good health and slim and trim physique? Or on the joy you experience each time you sit down to dinner with your teenage children? On the wonderful vacation you came back from recently and the even more exciting one you are planning for the near future? Or on the good way you feel about yourself and all the things you are creating and doing with your life?

What You Think is What You Are

I can just hear you spluttering. “What kind of romantic thinking is this? Where do these ideas come from? I don’t know anybody who thinks like that.”

True. Most people don’t think like that. In fact, most people think the exact opposite of that. Most people concentrate on all the things that are going wrong with their lives. Most people spend much of their time thinking about their problems and wondering how they are going to solve them. Most people think about all the things that could go wrong with their lives or about the people or events that stand in the way of their success. Most people think and think and think about whatever it is that worries them, because they believe that that is the way to resolve the problem. The fact is that most people focus so much on what they are afraid of, or what bothers them, or what stresses them, or what they don’t know how to solve, that they are giving all or most of their conscious and subconscious energy to a negative outcome – the problem.

What Kind of an Outcome Do You Want?

Consider this: the more you give your energy to one thing, the more that thing has a possibility of coming into being. If you concentrate on getting a university degree, you will most likely achieve that goal. If you concentrate on writing a book, you will again probably achieve that goal. But what happens if you continually tell yourself, while you are concentrating on getting the degree, that you are not intelligent enough to pass the exams, or that you simply are incapable of understanding the course material? And what happens, if you continually tell yourself while you are concentrating on writing the book, that you will never be able to write well, or that your story is not good enough? Obviously you are not only undermining yourself and sabotaging your desired outcomes, but you may also be creating a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Focus and Intention

So what can you do? Let’s assume you are convinced that you lack the intelligence to pass the exams. Or that you are convinced that you will never write well. You have a goal, and that goal is to get a degree or to write a book. In order to focus on that goal, your mission is to ensure that your thoughts are aligned with – or intentionally focused on - that goal. Therefore, whenever your thoughts stray from the goal into negative territory, you need to pull them back into the arena of positive results.

Goals and Fears

But focusing on a desired goal is very hard for a very simple reason: we are far too used to focusing on the fears surrounding the goal (I am so afraid I will never have a great relationship, rather than imagining in your mind’s eye the great relationship in the way you want it to be; or how will I ever get that promotion rather than imagining in your mind’s eye the way you will feel when you do get the hoped-for promotion).

How to Focus

So how do you focus? When you worry, and your mind goes around and around a problem, or some stress in your life, you are very focused on the problem. It is exactly at that moment that you need to re-focus and see your desired goal or outcome in your mind’s eye, rather than all the problems you associate with it. The more time you spend on whatever it is you want to have in your life – whether this is a material goal, a professional goal, a relational goal, or whatever – makes absolutely no difference, the more you will be in a position to achieve it, to attract it into your life. The more you think – and focus – on that goal in a positive way, the more you allow yourself to "feel" the way you would feel if you already had the results, the more likely it is that you will attain your desired outcome. This is the Law of Attraction.

Intentionally Re-focus on the Positive

Remember: the time you spend worrying about the desired outcome is time spent focusing on the opposite of what you want, so become very aware of all your thoughts and focus them in the right direction. Do this consistently each time you catch yourself thinking the negative version of your goals until intentionally re-focusing on the positive becomes second nature. This habit is like strengthening a muscle, if you do it every day, it will happen more and more frequently and naturally, and soon you will find that not only do the majority of your thoughts and feelings focus on the positive direction of your goals, but that those positive goals become part of your reality.

Unleash Your Subconscious Mind Power

Unleash Your Subconscious Mind Power
by Dale Odeyemi

If you want to learn the true art of mind power then it is of the greatest importance you understand 2 functions of your mind, and also how they interact with each other…

You only possess one mind, but it has 2 totally different functions - and the names generally used to distinguish these 2 different functions are as follows.

1, The Conscious Mind
2, The Subconscious Mind

There are many other terms used. But the 2 listed above, are the ones used most to represent the 2 main functions of your mind.

To help us better understand the conscious and subconscious mind, they may be compared to a tree and its roots…

• You’re conscious mind being the tree, which helps you with daily situations like, decision-making, rational thinking, or just simply figuring out what to do and how best to do it.

When we think of ‘me’ we think of our conscious mind, the mind of which we are fully aware. This part of the mind makes decisions for us and directs our activities; it also analyzes, criticises and even commands us.

• You’re subconscious mind being the roots; it deals mostly with the repetitions of learned behaviour. This can be very helpful for you, as it enables you to deal with situations much more easily the next time they arise.

Whatever we see, hear, smell, taste, touch or feel passes through the conscious mind and reaches the subconscious mind where it is stored.

Once you have learned how best to deal with the situation you find it much easier the next time around… this is because you are using information which is already stored.

For instance, once you have learned to ride a bike you don’t have to consciously think about it anymore. This is because the stored information will come to you automatically the next time you get on your bike to ride it.

Just as if you were to learn where each letter on your keyboard is - you can now type without looking because you have formed a mental picture in your subconscious mind, of what the keyboard actually looks like.

The above are only two instances (of how the subconscious mind stores up relations of learned behaviour) and we are sure you would be able to find many more examples of this in your everyday life!

Information from the conscious mind gets past into the subconscious mind, and there is a very strong link between the two. It is said that everything you have ever seen, heard and experienced is perceived by your conscious mind, and then stored away into your subconscious mind as a memory.

Not only is this memory stored as the incident itself, but also any feelings which went with it at the time are also stored.

Your subconscious mind does not only store your memories and feelings. It is the maker of all the great ideas you have ever had, and is also the seat of your intuition and creativeness…

Your subconscious also keeps you going without you even being aware of it. It takes care of your bodily functions – your heart beat, and automatically runs such activities as, movement, language, visual perception and a whole host of other processes of your mind and body for you.

It also scans your mind for conflict and distress; assesses your environment for danger and threats, and relays and interprets perceptions, sensations, and feeling… last but not least it is also the storehouse of all your experience and decisions – everything which makes you the person you are.

Attitude: The Gold In Your Bank

Attitude: The Gold In Your Bank
by Eric Garner

If you want to improve your chances of success in any endeavour, then make sure you've got the right attitude. Attitude is the key to getting everything right.

1. The One String We Have. Many of the things that happen to us in life
sometimes come at us out of the blue. We may be struck by natural disasters
or treated badly by others. Sometimes it feels like we are reeds in the
wind, at the mercy of fate. But there is one thing we always possess and can
always control even in the worst of situations. And that is our attitude.

"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on my life.
Attitude, to me, is more important than fact. It is more important than the
past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than
success, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important
than appearances, giftedness or skills. It will make or break a company, a
church, a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding
the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past; we
cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot
change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we
have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens
to you and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you. We are in charge of
our attitudes." (Charles Swindoll)

2. 100% Success. Here is a mathematical way to demonstrate that your
attitude accounts for 100% of your success.
* On the left-hand side of a piece of paper write down the letters of the
alphabet, A to Z. Against them write down the numbers 1 to 26, ie A = 1, B =
2 and so on.
* Now, find a friend and ask him or her what the main ingredient of success
is. Let's say they suggest "Money". Write this down somewhere on the page
and with your friend calculate the values for each letter in this phrase.
You'll find it comes to 72 or 72%.
* Now try a few more. Knowledge? Not quite, that comes to 96%. Love? That
only shows at 54%. Luck does even worse, at 47%. Leadership? 97%. Hard Work?
Closer, 98%. But not quite there.
* Now, show your friend that of all the qualities that go into success, only
ATTITUDE comes out at 100%.

3. Pure Gold. Attitude is the key to achieving success in your life. It is
pure gold. "What I am giving you is gold. Mothers, fathers, managers,
bosses, superintendants, company presidents, everybody, heed this: raise
your own self-esteem to where it belongs and good things will happen, both
for you and others. How do you do that? You do it through your self-talk.
You must think well of yourself. You must know you're good. Start by
controlling your own self-talk. From here forward, it is out of place in
your life or your business to be devaluative, belittling, or sarcastic. Such
junk has no place in a high-performance organisation just as it has no place
in a high-performance individual. What you will do is start looking for ways
to boost your morale with your self-talk. You are going to do it regularly.
You are going to do it every day: morning, noon and night." (Louis Tice)

Many of the gifts we have been given have been distributed unfairly. We all
wish we had the ability of the talented, the money of the rich, and the luck
of the beautiful. But none of these matter. When it comes down to it, the
real difference in life is something we all have equally: our attitude.

What Is Abundance?

What Is Abundance?
by Dr. Drew Henry

Learning to create abundance in your life is about much more than simply creating material wealth; it is about enriching your Self as a whole. Abundance is for everyone, not just the limited few that life appears to have smiled on.

Actually, we are surrounded by abundance. Nature is lavish, even wasteful in its abundance. Anyone caring to look will find an abundance of love, joy, money, and health is readily available to everyone willing to accept them. If there is any lack in our lives it's not because there is not enough, but rather, because we are limiting our intake. What we receive in life is controlled by the limits we place on our emotions, behaviors, thoughts and actions.

It is so hard for us to open the value controlling the flow of abundance in our lives because there are many factors involved. By the time we become aware of the fact that we create our own limits, the beliefs and habits we've developed that produce these limits are so ingrained they are very difficult to change.

Society also has its role to play. Since most of the world's governments have become capitalistic societies, it's in their best interest to promote conditions and belief systems that produce large numbers of have-nots. Simple economics tells us that in order for capitalism to thrive, there must be a large supply meeting a large demand and you must have people who are in debt to create a large enough demand to consume that large supply. The simple reality is that the governments of the world make their money from our poor health, debt, and our struggle to "just get by." Their abundance is dependant on our lack. But this does not mean we have to accept these limits. While it's true that most people will never take advantage of it, information about attracting wealth and prosperity is freely available to anyone caring to look. And the law of attraction says that the more you look, the more information you will attract. What fills your life is what you focus on.

When you begin to understand laws of abundance, you begin to understand that you are not constrained by the conditions of the economy or the amount of your present income. Your ability to increase your wealth, live in abundance, and have financial freedom is all based on your understanding of the universal laws that govern the flow of energy controlling your ability to turn potential into reality.

Yet there is more to creating abundance than simply placing an order and then sitting back to wait for its delivery. You have to be giving something of value, adding to the flow, in order to make this work. When this is the case people are more than willing to pay for your contribution.

Wealth, money, success, love, and health are all forms of energy. Being part of the flow means that you are a participating member. Once you understand how to operate in the flow of that energy, you learn to work with the Source of energy and actively create your reality instead of simply letting random thoughts create a chaotic existence for you.

Abundance is about living a healthy, vibrant life with a purpose and experiencing the joy that comes from possessing a strong sense of self.

3 Instant Strategies to Overcome Fear and Achieve Happiness and Peace of Mind

3 Instant Strategies to Overcome Fear and Achieve
Happiness and Peace of Mind

by Lori Prokop

Once you know these three strategies, fear melts away. Let me illustrate the three secrets with a quick story. Then, I'll give you them to you.

I spent time in the Midwest where an old livestock farmer said to me, "Lori, I've learned my greatest life lesson from Hereford cows."

I thought that was a bit unusual. After all, I've spoken to many great people who have shared many incredible life lessons. What could we learn from cows?

Well, I was shocked and grateful.
On cattle ranches, the freezing rain, bitter winds and extreme temperatures of winter storms can wipe out entire herds. Flying ice can even cut into flesh.

Facing this dangerous enemy, most cattle turn their backs and slowly drift downwind until they find another obstacle which stops them. Be it a river, fence or something, they pile up against the obstacle and die in large numbers.

But Herefords intuitively stand shoulder-to-shoulder facing the icy storms with their heads down against the bitter blasts.

The farmer told me, “Well, Lori, you almost always find the Herefords alive and well. It is the greatest lesson from the open range. Just face life’s storms.”

When a person stands up to a challenge or fear that challenge or fear tends to fold and give way. People with courageous persistence win.

Eleanor Roosevelt said, “You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.”

Do not attempt to ignore what you fear and go drifting with the wind. Every person must decide over and over whether to deal with fearful situations or to run away.

Most fears are unfounded and empty. A successful businessman in his 60’s calculated that only about 8 percent of what he feared had happened. He looked back on his life saying that 92 percent of what he feared never came to be.

Of the 8 percent of fears that did occur, he said, “Lori, I just stood up to them with persistence. It was my persistence that overcame them. All fears are controllable.”

Here are three strategies to overcome fear and achieve happiness and peace of mind.

Lori Prokop Happiness and Peace of Mind Strategy #1

Be a person of persistent faith. Most importantly, say morning, noon and night, “I will not be motivated or dominated by fear or anxiety any more. I remove fear and anxiety from my mind. I now decide my fear and anxiety will be brought under control and eliminated. I am a person of persistence and faith.”

In addition to this statement, you will need to choose matching thoughts and actions. This statement will program your mind to remove and reject fear-based thoughts.

Lori Prokop Happiness and Peace of Mind Strategy #2

Work on fears one at a time. With a pen and piece of paper, write out all the fears you have. Make as complete and honest a list as possible. Look over your list and determine the fear that disturbs you the most. Decide to resolve that fear alone, first.

Most people’s strength, energy and persistence are powerful enough to resolve one fear at a time. Resolving all fears or multiple fears at one time can be more than a person could energetically handle.

When you overcome one fear and then the next, you will experience an increased sense of accomplishment, confidence and personal power you can use to defeat all the fears on your list.

Lori Prokop Happiness and Peace of Mind Strategy #3

Increase your faith and persistence power. Faith and persistence can be the result of a long-practiced mental and spiritual process.

Often, those who need faith and persistence the most need it now. They don’t have time for years of spiritual development. To develop faith and persistence quickly and powerfully, I suggest learning and mastering your inner Life Guidance System.

What is your Life Guidance System?

It is a chart of 21 emotional levels which each person uses, with or without awareness, to create and react to situations in his or her life.

At the bottom of the chart is fear which creates 1% of what you do want and 99% of what you don’t want. In the middle of the chart is anger which creates 30% of what you do want and 70% of what you don’t want.

A little higher is contentment which creates 75% of what you do want and 25% of what you don’t want. At the top of your inner Life Guidance System is love and gratitude which manifests 100% of what you do want and 0% of what you don’t want.

You create your life experiences from your chosen emotional levels. As you choose higher and higher emotions, you will be amazed how much easier, more peaceful and more successful your life becomes.

The most under rated method to achieve success!

The most under rated method to achieve success!
by graham

The most under rated method to achieve success is: The power of Visualisation. The best kept secret of success on the sports field and in athletics is: The power of Visualisation. The situation where the mind is in charge of the body. Athletes and other sportspersons constantly use the power of thought to change their lives. To bring them success. When all else is equal the master card is: the power of your mind. Your mind is the most under rated method to achieve success.
It’s a known fact that we subconsciously work towards that which we can visualise. The secret is; to ensure that the visualisation is good for you. What you visualise is what you want to achieve. As long as you hold a picture, a visualisation, in your mind you are naturally drawn towards it.
Sports people are proving time and time again that the power of thought, the power of visualisation, can run your life. A fact that is dismissed by most of us on the planet. We are too busy doing. Too busy making the next buck rather than stopping and seeing if there is another method that can make life easier.

In other words, how you can change your behaviour from one that is always doing. Always searching for success. To one that by following a few simple rules can have success in the palm of your hand. To be successful you have to change the place from where you start..

As Dr. Wayne Dyer writes "all of our behaviour results from the
thoughts that preceded it...so the thing to work on is not your
behaviour but the thing that caused your behaviour, your
thoughts”

It’s all about mind over matter. There is no doubt that thoughts are a non physical powerful energy that can influence other people and things. To get the most out of life you must give to yourself. If you are putting 90% of your attention and effort into other people and work and 10% into yourself. You are on the wrong track. You are going in the wrong direction.
You need to concentrate more on the self. We know, you were brought up being told that that is selfish. You have to think of others. Put others first. But that just puts you back in the trap. You have to focus on yourself. Understand who you are and what your deep seated passion is. Understand why you are on this planet. What your core skills are. Then when you focus on yourself and your skills you achieve success, gain happiness and peace and become a much better person to live with. If your thoughts are not right then nothing will work. If you cannot visualise where you want to be then you have little chance of getting there. Remember your thoughts are powerful.

The most powerful instrument that you posses is the power of your thoughts. Thoughts are responsible for the world you live in. They mould and shape your attitudes. They are the creative force in your life. Every thing you do is preceded by a thought. The quality of your thoughts determine the quality of your life. Do you want to know how important your thoughts are?
Arthur Preston Smith asserts in his PhD Dissertation ,submitted in 1998, that The power of thought can also assist in the healing of serious illnesses. He states in the conclusion of his dissertation that:
‘this evidence strongly supports the proposition that thoughts, attitudes and beliefs can significantly affect health’.
Thoughts can and do affect the way you live. Thoughts can and do affect your health. Thoughts can and do affect your life style. Thoughts can and do affect your success rate. Thoughts can and do affect your level of happiness.
Dr. Ernest Holmes, the founder of Science of Mind also stated that:
‘Hence, drugs and surgery can buy time for the patient to correct his thinking, even if they cannot cure or prevent disease in the end. The disease will likely recur in some form if the thinking does not change’
(our emphasis)
Not only do your thoughts affect your health, the research is saying that visualisation can actually improve your health.
What more evidence do you need to accept that your thoughts are powerful. Your thoughts run your life. Sportspeople and academic researchers are proving that your thoughts are the key to a successful, healthy life.

In a nutshell; what you think is what you become. So, if for the past weeks, months or years you have been thinking negative thoughts. For example: you have been thinking that you are not good enough to do something. You have insufficient skills to do a particular job. You feel that you are not as good as another person. You believe that you are ‘thick’. You believe that you are not as good as others. You believe that your time will come when your children have left home. You believe you will be able to do it when you have more money. You believe that fundamentally you are not made that way. You maintain that you are no suited to that particular way. Whatever negativity you have been thinking of.

These are not thoughts that breed success and happiness. These thoughts may well be with you as a result of the way you grew up and your education. They may be part of your being, but if you want a successful, happy life they are not going to help you.

The fact is, most people who aim to be successful go for it hook line and sinker. Then when they have achieved they will be able to buy all the things they want and then they will be happy.

Wrong.

To become successful and powerful you have to change the way you do things. To do more of what you have always done is not going to work, that is just going to give you the same results. You have to do something different.
As Einstein said :

‘one cannot solve a problem at the level of thinking that is creating the problem’.

Success comes from changing your thoughts. You just have to change your thoughts.
Often people try to live their lives backwards: They try to have more things in order to do more of what they want, so that they will be happier.
The way it actually works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then do what you need to do in order to have what you want.
(Shakti Gawain, in Creative Visualization)
It’s as easy as that. All you have to do: is change your thoughts, live life in the opposite direction to that which you currently live. Can you visualise that? That’s the most under rated method to achieve success.

Good Luck
